St. Paul’s Tea Room and Gift Shop, St. Paul’s, Summerville
March 12 @ 11:00 am - March 16 @ 2:00 pm
At St. Paul’s church in Summerville, the annual Tea Room and Gift Shop will be open March 5 through 16 (except Sunday) from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., in Doar Hall on the St. Paul’s campus at 316 W. Carolina Ave. The tea room will offer the specialties its loyal patrons anticipate each year, including tomato pie, she-crab soup, okra soup, fresh salads and sandwiches, and a variety of homemade desserts. The gift shop will showcase the work of local artisans, native plants and estate items.
“We at St. Paul’s are looking forward to welcoming the community into our church home for fellowship and some of the best food in the Lowcountry,” said Susan Rasor, who serves as co-chair for the event alongside Barbara Davenport. This is the second year for the duo to head up the annual fundraising event, which has raised $640,000 for outreach programs since its inception in 2005.
All proceeds of the tea room are given to local, national, and global ministries. Some of the beneficiaries include Impact Ministries Food Distribution and Medical Outreach Clinic of Summerville, both at St. Paul’s, Dorchester Habitat for Humanity, Home of Hope, Salvation Army, Wycliffe Bible Translators, Water Mission International, and dozens more helping organizations at home and abroad.
Guests may make reservations for the 11:30 a.m. seating by calling (843) 873-1991. All other seating will be first come, first served. The tea room will provide takeout orders.
