The Parish Church of St. Helena is seeking a full-time organist/choirmaster to lead their rich Anglican worship for this historic congregation. Their deepest hope is for a committed Christian with a heart to lead worship and direct their choirs. They recognize they are seeking a unique individual with training in sacred music who also can lead and direct all ages in worship. They have the Parish (Adult) Choir, the Choir for Boys and Girls, and the Handbell Choir. Each of these would be under the direction of the Organist/Choirmaster as well as teaching their children in their formation programs. This position encompasses all aspects of planning, preparing, and executing Sunday morning worship in a liturgical church with a strong tradition of choral worship. Director of Family Ministry, St. Michael’s Church, Charleston
The Director of Family Ministry (DFM) leads and empowers families to be the primary Christian formation unit, in partnership with the church, by providing families with the necessary resources and support. The DFM develops a variety of children, student, and family activities, implements curriculums, and provides bible studies to assist families in modeling Christian discipleship in their homes. The DFM assumes primary responsibility for implementing those programs, including the supervision of subordinate staff members, nursery workers, and the recruitment and management of volunteers. In addition to cooking dinners for 30 to 300 people, this position includes the preparation of the dining rooms; washing dishes, pots & pans; preparing beverages and salad bars; stocking shelves and whatever else is needed to provide quality service to our guests. Applicant needs to have a strong back, healthy feet and upper body strength. Equally important is a demonstrated heart for teamwork. This is a full-time hourly position. Hours for this team are approximately noon – 8pm five days per week, including weekends, for a total of 40 hours per week.
