‘Be Still and Know God’ Retreat

Starting this fall, St. Christopher will begin hosting quarterly retreats called “Be Still and Know God”. These retreats will be Sunday – Tuesday and will be for those who feel the need to get away, be quiet, and connect with the tangible presence of God.

So many people confess they never hear the Lord speak to them or sense His nearness. This is not surprising considering how noisy and full of distractions our lives are. It’s a sad fact that too many of us settle for far, far less than what the Lord wants for us when it comes to experiencing His presence and hearing His voice.

Join us for three days and two nights as we help you to slow down, take a deep breath, come into the Lord’s presence and hear Him speak. There will be worship and short teachings each day, soaking prayer and lots of quiet time for listening, personal reflection and prayer. These retreats will be led by various St. Christopher staff along with trained leaders from St. Andrews in Mt. Pleasant for soaking prayer.

If you have a growing hunger and thirst for the power and presence of the Holy Spirit in your life but struggle with prioritizing time with the Lord, please pray about joining us as we create space for just that. For those in full-time ministry, we invite you to let this be a time to be ministered to and receive empowerment for your ministry.

Dates for these quarterly retreats through 2009 are listed below, as are rates. Space is limited to 25 people so register soon. This retreat is for adults age 18 and up. We are not able to provide child care. We suggest single occupancy rooms on this retreat because we want participants to have as few distractions as possible.

Fall – October 5-7, 2008
Winter – February 22-24, 2009
Spring – May 3-5, 2009
Summer – August 9-11, 2009
Fall – November 1-3, 2009

Rates: include lodging, all meals and materials
• Those in Full-time Ministry in the Diocese of SC - $160
• All Others - $185.00

Deposit of $50 is required to confirm your reservation and hold your spot. Balance due upon arrival at retreat. Cancellations less than two weeks from retreat result in lost deposit.
