Beginning in September, The Rev. Dr. Peter Moore will join St. Michael's as Associate for Transformational Discipleship. Moore was the fourth Dean and President of Trinity School for Ministry in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, founder of the FOCUS ministry for Independent Schools and is a gifted academic and author of many books, including the award winner…Disarming the Secular Gods. A graduate of Yale and Oxford, Peter is married to Sandra and they have grown children.

Peter will have one focus at St. Michael’s and that is to offer a follow up to the Alpha Course on Discipleship. As Associate for Transformational Discipleship, he will be working in the context of the small group ministry to bring Gospel depth and transformation into every heart. The Rev. Al Zadig, Rector of St. Michael’s observes that “the greatest need of the church is to transform and equip her people to transform the culture, and Peter will be a key instrument not only for St. Michael’s but for the entire Charleston community and beyond.”
