Pictures from Annual Church Business Workshop held at St. Christopher
On April 17-18th, about 50 parish treasurers, vestry members, parish administrators, finance committee members, and clergy, gathered for the Annual Business Workshop at St. Christopher Camp and Conference Center. Twenty-two churches were represented. Workshop topics included Church and Clergy Taxes, Discretionary Funds, Health Insurance, Managing the Temporal Affairs of the Church, Electronic Funds Transfer of Gifts, and an update on Risk Management for Churches. In small group discussions, participants shared how they handled stewardship campaigns, offering countings, and which computer systems they used. It was a great time for information-sharing, networking, and refreshment.
Next year's workshop has been set for May 7th-9th, 2006, at St. Christopher again.
