Re: 121st Annual Meeting at St. Luke’s Church, Hilton Head on Saturday, April 23, 2005

To the Clergy of the Diocese:

As you heard me state in my address to the Diocesan Convention earlier this month, it would be such a pleasure for us to have you and your spouses attend our Annual Meeting next month. The speaker will be Lauren Winner, author of Girl Meets God and Mudhouse Sabbath. Lauren will speak immediately before lunch, and copies of her books will be available which she will be more than delighted to sign. After lunch, Bishop Salmon will be present for the Holy Eucharist and the Reverend Greg Kronz will preach the sermon. I have enclosed a proposed agenda and registration form.

REGISTRATION: The registration fee is $18.00 per person, which covers that cost of lunch, packets, and the honorarium and expenses of our guest speaker. Please send your form to the Registrar whose address is at the bottom by April 11.

ACCOMODATIONS: We have room blocks reserved at two hotels. The Hampton in located at 1 Dillon Rd, Hilton Head has rooms for $89.00 per night. The number is 843-681-7900, and the reservation code is ECW. The Holiday Inn Express in Bluffton has Standard Rooms available for $79.95 per night and suites for $89.95. The number is 843-757-2302 and the reservation code is ECW. These rates are good for both Friday and Saturday nights, but you must make your reservations by April 12.

HOLY EUCHARIST: Please bring your vestments for the processional at the beginning of the Holy Eucharist.

Again, it would mean very much to the women of the Diocese if those of you who can attend do so. This is a wonderful opportunity for fellowship at a time when we as a whole should draw closer together as the body of Christ.

Yours in Christ,

Ferebee Ruffalo
